When can a training organisation make changes to a student’s USI transcript?

Training organisations can only make corrections or update records of training that they have delivered and actioned via the USI Transcript Update Tool. They cannot change the training records completed at a different training organisation.

If the issuing training organization is no longer operating, the relevant VET regulator may be able to assist in some circumstances.

Find training organisation regulators.

Depending on the state where the training organisation is registered, the VET regulator could be one of the following:

Inaccurate or incomplete VET transcripts

There may be occasions where some information on a VET transcript is inaccurate or incomplete. Find out more about inaccurate or incomplete VET transcripts.

A student received a message on the Student Portal indicating that the Transcript Service is currently unavailable

Training organisations should check our website and the Organisation Portal for notifications. The USI system may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance purposes.

Can training organisations update records lodged by another training organisation if requested by a student?

No. Training organisations can only update records they have lodged themselves.

A student’s transcript indicates that their unit of competency or module is continuing but they have finished
