Compliance

The Student Identifiers Registrar is responsible for monitoring compliance as per the Student Identifiers Act 2014.

Compliance with the Student Identifiers Act 2014 is important to protect students and the reputation and quality of the education and training sector. Breaches of the Act could include:

  • applying for student identifiers (i.e. not meeting privacy requirements or intentionally creating duplicate Unique Student Identifiers (USI))
  • altering or creating a fake USI VET transcript
  • issuing qualifications and awards to a student who doesn’t have a USI.

Reporting

If you think you have identified possible non-compliance use the USI feedback form to report it.

You can remain anonymous. However, if you do remain anonymous, and further information is required, we will not be able to contact you.

Your details will remain confidential and will not be shared with others involved in the alleged non-compliance.
