Request access to the USI Developer kit to connect your Student Management System with the USI.

About the USI Developers kit

The form below is to be completed by Student Management System (SMS) developers interacting with the Office of the Student Identifiers Registrar (OSIR).

Before you complete the form, you must first have obtained the Digital Partnership Office (DPO) Authentication kit and accepted their terms and conditions.

Once approved, you will be issued with the USI Developers kit which includes:

  • USI web service technical services contract
  • current version of the security token service – service definitions
  • USI check character algorithm
  • connection instructions
  • Machine-to-Machine (M2M) authentication
  • organisation codes for the test environment.

If you have previously applied for and received a USI Developer kit, you do not need to complete this form again.

Please email IT@usi.gov.au to request an updated Developer kit.

Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 and is collected by the Office of the Student Identifiers Registrar (OSIR) on this form for the purpose of administering access to the USI Registry System under the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (SI Act).

If you include information about persons other than yourself in this form, you declare that you have provided this privacy notice to them and obtained their consent to provide their information to OSIR.

Personal information collected through this form will not ordinarily be disclosed to any other agencies or organisations. It will only be disclosed to other parties where you have agreed, or where it is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.

Your personal information is unlikely to be disclosed to overseas recipients.
