You are responsible for collecting and recording your students’ USIs
-
You cannot issue a student’s statement of attainment until you have their USI
-
Many government funded programs will require a USI as part of regular reporting
What if a student has created their own USI?
If a student has created their own USI, you will need their:
- USI number
- first name
- last name
- date of birth
When should I collect my student's USIs?
We strongly recommend collecting your student’s USIs when you enrol them for convenience, especially for short courses. However, you may collect a student’s USI at any time, including before they enrol.
What can I do to make USI verification easier?
We recommend that you collect the student's name for enrolment exactly as it appears in their USI account otherwise you will have difficulty verifying their USI. You may need extra name fields for this in your system.
