Inclusion of Preferred Name in your USI Account – NEW
If you are known by any other name which is not on your form of ID, for business or official purposes (e.g. Robert, but would prefer to be known as Bob), there is an option to include a preferred name in your USI account when creating your USI.
If you already have a USI, login to your account now to add your preferred name!
If you have a USI account you can use the USI website to:
- retrieve a forgotten USI
- reset a forgotten password
- reset or change your password
- activate your USI account
- update your details
Print and Email USI functionality
When you successfully create your USI you will now have the option to either email your USI to your training provider, or print your USI to show or provide to your training provider which will make it easier for them to verify your USI. Both these functions will display the following USI Account holder details:
middle name (if applicable)
date of birth.
Email USI - you can select to email your USI verification details to up to 10 email addresses, separated by a comma.
Print USI - you can select the Print USI button to print your verification details. A screen will be displayed and you will have the option to Print or Cancel. The Print USI function is also available to your training provider if they created your USI on your behalf. Make sure you ask for your print out from your provider if they created the USI on your behalf so that you have a record.
These functions will make sure your training providers can easily and quickly verify your USI for you.
Forgotten USI & Forgotten Password
We realise that from time to time you may forget your USI or password. Don’t panic, we have a new easy way to get your USI back or reset your password.
This can be done on your mobile phone, tablet or computer. If you want to use these functions use the relevant link above. Make sure you have handy one of the following details that you used to create your USI account.
- email address
- mobile number
- personal details (you may need to supply a form of ID or answer your check questions when personal details are used)
Please remember when using these functions that your password is case sensitive and the answers to your check questions should be spelt correctly (did you enter ‘Street’ or ‘St’ for example).
You need to give your USI to each training organisation you want to study with.
You can also give permission to your training organisation to view or update your details and view your training records and transcript.
Giving a training organisation permission to view your USI account is an easy way for you to share information with them.
This might be useful when enrolling in a new course. To save you time filling in a new form you can simply give the training organisation permission to view your details.
When you give permission for a training organisation to view your USI account you can choose whether they can view:
- your personal and contact information
- just your personal information and not your contact information
- your training records and transcript details.
If you find there is an error with any of your training records or transcript, contact the training organisations immediately for assistance.
