If your training provider created a USI and did not ask your permission, please contact your training provider to discuss. The USI Registry System will never ask you for your Visa number. To create a USI using your non-Australian passport you need to enter your passport number.
If it seems like you are being asked for your Visa number, perhaps this is a requirement of your training provider. To avoid this, make sure you are creating your USI via the USI website rather than through your training provider’s website.

Once you have attempted to verify your identity with the same form of ID three times, you will be provided with the option to ‘Request Help’. Once you have selected this option and submitted a request you will be provided with a Help Reference Number.

Your training provider must verify your USI with the name your USI account was created in to ensure that the qualification is awarded to the correct student. This does not mean that the name which appears on your certificate/statement of attainment must be the name your USI is created in.
